The memorial stone for the foundation of the New Neustadt in 1812 is a listed memorial stone in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .
location
It is located in a small park at the western end of Agnetenstrasse on its northern side in the Alte Neustadt district . The Lüneburger Strasse railway bridge extends northeast of the stone . The embankment runs north to the Magdeburg-Neustadt train station to the east .
Architecture and history
The memorial stone was erected on May 24, 1914. The occasion was the memory of the 100th anniversary of the New New Town founded in 1812 in 1912 .
It has a granite - Findling built, which was provided on its front side with an inscription. The inscription reads:

22 SEPT. 1912 ESTABLISHED ON THE 100TH
MEMORIAL
DAYS OF THE
LIBERATION OF MAGDEBURG
FROM THE EIGHT-

The inscription on the stone was renewed on his own initiative in 2017 by Lutz Kaufmann from Magdeburg , a retired commercial painter.
The memorial stone is listed as a historical building under registration number 094 15906 in the monument register of the state of Saxony-Anhalt . The city of Magdeburg has listed it as a small memorial since June 23, 1994 .
