The Geiersberg is 440 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Steigerwald . It is located in the district of Schweinfurt in Lower Franconia and is an enclave in the northwest of the Oberschwarzach market .
The mountain is best known for its exposed location and wine growing. It is slightly lower than the neighboring Stollberg . Nevertheless, it can be seen from afar, as it protrudes far into the flatter landscape of the Oberschwarzacher Valley, which is about 150 meters lower. This makes the mountain look very distinctive, especially from the west side.
The wine-growing town of Oberschwarzach is located at the foot of the mountain .
