Gene Anthony Ray
Eugene "Gene" Anthony Ray (born May 24, 1962 in Harlem , New York City , † November 14, 2003 in New York City) was an American actor, dancer and choreographer .
Life
Gene Anthony Ray grew up in New York. There he attended the High School of Performing Arts and Julia Richman High School . In 1980 he played the role of Leroy Johnson in the feature film Fame . Between 1982 and 1987 he played this role in the television series of the same name, Fame - The Road to Fame . After that he appeared in several films as an actor and dancer.
Gene Anthony Ray died of a stroke on November 14, 2003 . He was infected with the HI virus.
