Gene Corman

Eugene "Gene" H. Corman (born September 24, 1927 in Detroit , United States ) is an American film producer , artist agent and film company manager.

Live and act

Roger Corman's younger brother studied at Stanford University immediately after World War II and in 1950 went to MCA as an artist agent for seven years . His clients during this period included screen stars such as Joan Crawford , Fred MacMurray , Richard Conte , Harry Belafonte and Ray Milland .

In 1957, when his brother Roger had already established himself as a film producer of cheap productions in Hollywood, Gene Corman also switched to film production and, beginning with The Last Reminder Was Made of Lead , also produced B-Pictures . A little later, he moved to Roger's company and became a partner at Corman Company and New World Distributors. Another position that Gene Corman held throughout his career was that of Vice President of 20th Century Fox Television (1983-1987). In the same position, Gene Corman worked for the 21st Century Film Corporation in the new millennium.

Award

Gene Corman received the Primetime Emmy in 1982 for the production of a television portrait of former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir with Ingrid Bergman in her last role in front of the camera .
