General of the Army Aviation Force
The Army Aviation General is the position of the officer responsible for certain questions of the Army Aviation in the Bundeswehr , usually with the rank of Brigadier General . It was introduced into the army on April 1, 1968 and transferred to the then stage manager for the Army Aviation and Airborne Forces, Brigadier General Kauffmann.

Since July 2015, the position of General of the Army Aviation Troop has been linked to the position of Commander of the International Helicopter Training Center . Previously, the function was performed by the commander of the Heeresfliegerwaffenschule (1995-2015), Department Head XII in the Army Office (1991-1994), Department Head VII in the Army Office (1975-1991) and the stage manager of the Army Aviation Troops and Airborne Forces (1968-1975).
