Genesis was a Philippine science fiction - television series that on 14 October 2013 to 27 December 2013, GMA Network aired.

In 2007, a series of disastrous events occurred during the Panagbengga Festival. An asteroid hit the site, causing earthquakes and landslides. Isaak is directly with the Vice President and tries to save him and his daughter Sandra from the impending dangers. He also manages to get Sandra to the President's helicopter. But President Ramona has other plans. He takes off with Sandra without waiting for the Vice President.
Isaac tries to save the Vice President when he threatens to fall into a pit caused by the earthquake. However, he does not succeed. Isaac is ashamed to have failed. At home he finds out that his parents have also died. Devastated, he mourns the loss of loved ones. However, his friend Raquel succeeds in convincing Isaac to quit his job and start a new life with her.
In fact, the whole operation was a long-planned attack on the life of the Vice President. President Ramona blames Isaac for the vice president's death and has him sentenced to life in prison. A short time later his death is announced. Sandra doesn't believe in it, however, because she knew how loyal Isaac was to her father.
Raquel is now urged to marry Paolo, who promises her and her unborn baby a better life. Isaac sits in prison meanwhile and is getting more cynical every day.
Five years later, Sandra was elected president of the country. When she is called for an emergency, she realizes that what happened five years ago are only the harbingers of new doom. The end of the world is imminent. A gigantic asteroid is supposed to hit the earth and destroy all life. However, the world government already has a plan: the so-called "Operation Genesis". Similar to Noah's Ark , selected people from all countries are to be saved. It is about nothing more than the survival of the human race; therefore all persons must be in perfect health.
These selected people are to be brought to the “Genesis Dome”. A kind of domed city that will be cut off from the rest of the world for 20 years. In the course of the plot, however, the "Genesis Dome" is declared by the creators of the series to be a spaceship that is supposed to leave Earth before the asteroid hits.
Sandra finds out that Isaac is still alive and pardons him. Her plan is to send him on a mission because he's the only person she can still trust. He should find people who are suitable to participate in the "Genesis Dome". In return, he should get the opportunity to see Raquel again.
During the search he meets Raquel again. She now has a daughter named Osie and is married to Paolo. It is Isaac's biological daughter who gives hope to her father. Isaac now sets out to find the people for the mission. During his journey it becomes more and more clear to him that only love can save humanity.

The first episode of the series premiered on October 14, 2013 on GMA Network . The fictional drama is intended to give people hope and was significantly influenced by the earthquake and crisis-ridden region. In fact, one day after the premiere there was a major earthquake in Bohol , which had a magnitude of 7.3 on the Richter scale and in which more than 110 people died. Some stars of the Filipino film and television world were cast for the series. Not only Dingdong Dantes , who played the leading role, can be seen. The main female roles were played by Rhian Ramos and Lorna Tolentino , both of whom had previously worked with Dantes. The main male roles were played by TJ Trinidad and Prince Villanueva , both of whom had previously worked with Ramos. Directed by Joyce Bernal and Mark Reyes .
