criticism

The e-zine Laut.de rated Genius with four out of a possible five points. From the editor's point of view, Dani Fromm, Kaliko has a “ wide range of possibilities of expression, from“ atmospheric spoken lines to precise flowing rap parts, vintage soul singing, pure R'n'B interludes to scratchy, rough rock pipes and unleashed roars. “In addition, the rapper is“ as unpredictable in terms of content as it is musically. “On the one hand, Kaliko reports, for example,“ vividly about excessive bedroom jokes and rough blasting parties ”, on the other hand he also dissects“ fearlessly and relentlessly his own sensitivities ”such as his pigmentation and personality disorder. In summary, Fromm characterizes the rapper as a " chimera " from Tupac Shakur , Curtis Mayfield and the Ying Yang Twins .
