Geoff Billington (born March 2, 1955 in Cheshire ) is a British show jumper .

Career

At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta he was sixth in the singles with It's Otto , and in Sydney in 2000 he only made it to 24th place in the individual ranking. 1997 Billington won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Mannheim in a team with John and Michael Whitaker , as well as Robert Smith . At the 1998 World Championships in Rome he also won team bronze with It's Otto . He is currently ranked 173rd in the world. In 2007 he won the Hickstead Derby on Cassabachus .

Private

Billington is married with five children and his eldest son James is also a show jumper. The show jumper is known for his jokes. Among other things, Billington likes to “poke fun” colleagues by mimicking their riding style.
