Geoff Schaaf (born January 1, 1946 ) is an American film director , cameraman and film producer .

After studying at California State University , Schaaf started working in 1986 as a cameraman, primarily for television productions. He became known for his involvement as a cameraman on the television series Seaquest and Charmed .

In 2003 he made his debut as a director and directed the thriller Shelter Island with Stephen Baldwin in the lead role. His second film followed in 2008 with Portal .
