Geoff Tunnicliffe

Geoff Tunnicliffe (born June 5, 1947 in Canada ) is a media consultant and was the International Director of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), a worldwide evangelical network , from 2005 to 2014 .

Life

Tunnicliffe graduated from Trinity International University , Deerfield, Illinois, where he graduated with a BA in Christian Leadership in 1986 . In 2008 he received his Doctor of Ministry from Olivet University , San Francisco . He then studied communication science at the British Columbia Institute of Technology .

Its activities have taken Tunnicliffe to more than 100 countries. He was the managing director of an international agency and consultant for organizational issues. From 1999 to 2002 he was the advisor to a multinational team at Refugee Highway Partnership , a refugee aid project run by the (WEA) and around 350 partner organizations. Tunnicliffe is a member of the board of trustees of the international Micha Initiative of the WEA, which works against extreme poverty, for global justice and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations . As a speaker at various congresses, at universities and in churches, he primarily deals with global problems such as HIV / AIDS , poverty, human trafficking, interdenominational dialogue and spirituality. He meets various government and media representatives to take a stand on current events from an evangelical point of view. From 2005 to December 2014 he was International Director of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA). Since then he has worked as a strategic advisor to Christian networks and organizations, including in New York as a media advisor in the role of “Chairman of the Board of Advisors” at the non-denominational organization “Christian Media Corporation International” (CMCI) based in Washington DC and since February 2015 international representative at YouVersion , an online and mobile Bible platform.

Tunnicliffe is the author of various articles and several books.

Private

Tunnicliffe has been married to his wife Jewel since 1977. The couple have two children and live in Vancouver and New York City and, since 2014, in White Rock (British Columbia) .
