Georg Adolf von Nagel

Georg Adolf von Nagel (baptismal name: Georg Adolf Ferdinand von Nagel) (* 1695 ; † June 1, 1730 in Itlingen ) was canon in the prince-bishopric of Münster.

Life

Origin and family

Georg Adolf von Nagel was born as the son of Friedrich Nikolaus von Nagel and his wife Margaretha Elisabeth Droste zu Vischering (1668–1740) in the ancient Westphalian noble family von Nagel .

Act

With the receipt of the tonsure on January 4, 1711 Georg Adolf was prepared for a clerical office. From 1713 to 1718 he studied in Rome . Through papal approval he received a cathedral preacher in Münster in 1716 . He was ordained a priest and held this office. From 1721 he worked as quaestor at the University of Orléans . In this function he was responsible for the management.
