Georg Andersen
Georg Arnfinn Andersen (born January 7, 1963 in Arendal ) is a former Norwegian shot putter .
In 1988 he was sixth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Budapest and tenth at the Olympic Games in Seoul .
He won bronze each in 1989 at the European Indoor Championships in The Hague and the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Budapest and in 1990 at the European Athletics Championships in Split .
In 1991, he originally finished second at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo , but was disqualified because he had tested positive for anabolic steroids in a recent doping control and was banned for four years for this violation of doping regulations .
At the 1995 World Cup in Gothenburg, he was eliminated in qualification.
He was national outdoor champion four times (1987, 1988, 1990, 1995) and three times indoor (1985, 1989, 1996).
