Georg Aster
Georg Aster (full name: Alexander Georg Aster ; born April 23, 1849 in Frauenstein ; † August 20, 1917 in Loschwitz near Dresden ) was a German architect and non-fiction author.
Life
Aster studied at the Dresden building trade school and learned from 1870 to 1871 in Hermann Nicolai's studio . In 1874 Aster went on a study trip to Italy . He processed his impressions in the book Architectural Travel Sketches from Italy (1880). A trip to Greece and Dalmatia followed around 1900 .
Aster worked in the Landbauamt in Dresden from 1875 to 1876 and established himself as a freelance architect in Pirna in 1877 . Here he was involved in the renovation of the Pirna town hall in 1879 . In 1881 Aster moved to Gera , where he also worked as a freelance architect until 1891. In 1891 he settled in Loschwitz . He designed his house on Pillnitzer Landstrasse 35 himself. Aster died in Loschwitz in 1917 and was buried in the Loschwitz cemetery in the Hegenbarth family grave (including Josef Hegenbarth ).
Aster published numerous works on architecture theory, including the book Villas and Small Family Houses in the series of Weber's illustrated catechisms in 1894 , the tenth edition of which was already available in 1904. It was continued in family houses for town and country in 1898.

On September 19, 1879 he married Camilla Olga, b. Schauer (1860-1940). Their daughter Johanna (1897–1988) married Josef Hegenbarth in 1936 .
