One focus of Georg Brückmann's photographic work is to question the realistic legacy of photography as a representation of reality. He photographs self-created fictional spaces “which are obviously constructed, [he uses] realistic fragments to irritate the viewer [...]. However, this does not mean that he is only looking for references to painting, sculpture and installation. By working on the limits of how reality can be represented, he questions the medium itself and examines its properties ”.
