Johann Georg Brückmann

Johann Georg Brückmann (born January 8, 1896 in Auerbach ; † June 26, 1973 in Bensheim ) was a Hessian politician ( NSDAP ) and a member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Johann Georg Brückmann was the son of the master shoemaker Georg Brückmann and his wife Katharina née Nungesser. Brückmann, who was of Protestant denomination, married Emma Margareta née Eisenemenger in her first marriage and Karola née Ahlheim in her second marriage. He worked as a businessman in Bensheim.

Brückmann joined the NSDAP around 1926. From 1931 to 1933 he was a member of the state parliament in the state parliament of the People's State of Hesse. In 1933 he succeeded Georg Fischer as district leader of the NSDAP and from 1934 to 1937 mayor of Bensheim. In the autumn of 1937 the personal union of party and state offices was prohibited. Brückmann gave up the mayor's office and remained district leader. In the general election in 1938 he was nominated without success.
