Georg Evenius
Georg Wilhelm Ernst Theodor Evenius ( June 7, 1898 - May 10, 1970 ) was a German politician . From 1950 to 1954 he was a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .
Life
Evenius, the son of a craftsman and middle-class civil servant, studied economics and history after graduating from high school.
During the time of National Socialism he did illegal resistance work and had connections to the German Popular Front , a social democratic resistance group in Berlin formed by Otto Brass and Hermann Brill .
After the Second World War , he first worked as an editor for the SPD central organ “ Das Volk ”, then as a business editor for the magazine “Das Handwerk”. From October 1950 to October 1954 Evenius was the Berlin representative of the People's Chamber for Social Democratic Action .
In 1923 he married Marie Franziska Emilie Erika Pest. They had a daughter Doris in 1934.
