Steve Tisch (born February 14, 1949 in Lakewood , New Jersey ) is an American film producer .
Career
Tisch has been a producer since the mid-1970s. So far he has been involved in more than 50 productions. For Forrest Gump he won an Oscar in the category of best film in 1995. In the same year he received an award at the GLAAD Media Awards . In 2001 he was honored with a star on the Walk of Fame .
He worked with Will Smith on The Pursuit of Happiness (2006) and Seven Lives (2008).
Tisch is also a co-owner of the New York Giants football team .
