Georg Felber
Georg Felber (born December 27, 1804 in Basel ; † September 18, 1861 ibid) was a Swiss politician .
biography
Georg Felber, the son of a button maker, studied law in Basel, Göttingen and Jena from 1824 after attending the humanistic grammar school . In 1833 he received his doctorate. iur and became a private lecturer at the University of Basel . 1838-1860 he worked as a council clerk and 1848-1859 additionally as a state clerk . 1848–1861 he sat in the Grand Council of the Canton of Basel-Stadt , which he represented in the Council of States from 1860–1861 . In contrast, he rejected the election to the Small Council in 1856.
