Georg Fendt

Georg Fendt (born May 19, 1926 in Augsburg , † June 13, 2008 in Friedberg ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Fendt attended elementary school in Friedberg and completed an apprenticeship as a machine fitter and at the same time completed training at the MAN Augsburg vocational school . After the Second World War , in which he was in military service, he worked as a fitter and group leader in the profession he had learned.

Fendt was a member of the Friedberg City Council from 1956 to 1982, 10 years of which as honorary second mayor. He was a member of the board of directors of the BRK district association of Swabia and a volunteer in the management bodies of a welfare station, a youth welfare facility, as well as professional and party-political organizations and has been chairman of a settlement community for thirty years. From 1966 to 1990 Fendt was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . He was always elected directly. His constituency was initially called Friedberg, Schwabmünchen , then Aichach and finally Aichach-Friedberg .
