Georg Gmünder
Georg Gmünder (* 1391 in St. Gallen ; † 1478 ibid) was a mayor of St. Gallen ( Switzerland ).
Life
Georg Gmünder was a guild master in the Pfister guild in 1440 and 1454 and held various public functions in the city of St. Gallen during his lifetime, among other things, he was city architect , master and caretaker of the Heilig-Geist-Spital, advocate and sack master and from 1443 to 1444 City magistrate .
In the period from 1458 to 1464, alternating with Christoph Wirth and Hektor von Watt , and from 1467 to 1475, together with Othmar Schlaipfer and Hans Schurff , he held the highest city offices of the mayor , former mayor and the imperial bailiff every three years ; In 1478 he again exercised the office of mayor. In the intervening years of these offices he sat on the Small Council .
