The World U-17 Hockey Challenge 2017 was the 25th edition of the World U-17 Hockey Challenge , an ice hockey tournament for junior national teams in the U17 age group. The competition took place in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John in the Canadian province of British Columbia from November 5 to 11, 2017 . The gold medal won for the fifth time the selection of the United States , which prevailed in the final against the Canada Red team .

mode

The eight participants were divided into two groups of four teams each. In the group stage, each team played once against all other group participants and thus played three games. Then all participants contested the quarter-finals, which, like the semi-finals and the final, were played in the knockout system .
