Georg Hauger (traffic scientist)

Georg Hauger (born May 2, 1965 in Vienna ) is an Austrian transport scientist.

After studying landscape ecology and landscape design at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna and specializing in spatial planning and spatial planning at the Technical University of Vienna (Vienna University of Technology), Hauger obtained his doctorate in 1996 under Peter Cerwenka at the Vienna University of Technology.

In 2003, Hauger completed his habilitation in traffic system planning. Since 2000 he has headed the Institute for Transport System Planning. In 2004 he received the Rudolf Wurzer Prize for the fundamentals of traffic ecology . He is a member of numerous national and international scientific boards as well as the author and editor of the IVS-Schriften series.
