Stelle is located on the eastern edge of the town of Twistringen, 3 km east of the core town of Twistringen. The village of Stelle consists of the districts of Stelle, Weyhe and Bokelskamp.

Since the regional reform , which came into force on March 1, 1974, the previously independent municipality Stelle is one of the eight localities in the city of Twistringen today.

Place is far from the main traffic. The federal motorway 1 runs 19 km to the north. The federal road 51 leading from Bassum via Twistringen (Kernort) and Diepholz to Osnabrück and the state road L 342 from Twistringen (Kernort) via Goldenstedt to Vechta run 3 km to the west.

In Stelle there are - in contrast to some of the smaller districts of Twistringen - street names and not just house numbers , so that residents, postmen, suppliers and visitors can find their way around.
