Georg Heilmann

Georg Heilmann (born January 2, 1892 in Staffelstein , † 1981 ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Career

Heilmann graduated with a doctorate in law. From 1922 he was district administrator in the district of Schweinfurt . From 1928 he was a permanent member of the Reich Insurance Office and from 1929 he was active in the Reich Labor Ministry, where he was appointed Ministerialrat in 1936 and in 1941 department director and head of the Berlin Institute for Housing and Settlements. Because of his marriage to a niece of Carl Goerdeler , he was arrested after July 20, 1944 .

In January 1947 he was classified as exonerated by the responsible judges' chamber and was then employed in the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. In January 1948 he was appointed ministerial director and later ministerial director. As border commissioner he successfully represented the interests of the eastern Bavarian region until 1958.
