Georg Heinrich Conrad Hüttemann

Georg Heinrich Conrad Hüttemann (born January 29, 1728 in Minden ; † July 18, 1781 in Cuddalore , India ) was a Lutheran missionary in India.

Georg Heinrich Hüttemann first attended grammar school in Minden to study theology at the University of Halle in 1747. Further stations in his career were: Informator at the boys' citizenship school in Halle , at the Latin school in Halle, orphan preceptor, informator at the pedagogy of the Francke Foundations in Halle. In 1749 he was called to serve as a missionary in the Danish-Halle Mission to Tranquebar . After his ordination in Copenhagen in 1749 , he traveled with the missionaries Christian Friedrich Schwartz and David Poltzenhagen . After staying in Tranquebar, he was a missionary in Cuddalore from December 1750. His first marriage was in 1751 with Elisabeth Hüttemann, and in 1776 a second marriage with Francoise de Marchis .

His daughter Anna Sophie married the missionary Christian Wilhelm Gericke (1742–1803) in 1769 .
