Georg Heinrich Riebow
Georg Heinrich Riebow , also Ribovius (born February 8, 1703 in Lüchow (Wendland) , † August 22, 1774 in Hanover ) was a German Lutheran theologian, consistorial councilor and general superintendent of the general diocese of Hoya-Diepholz .
Life
Riebow was senior court preacher in Quedlinburg before he was called in 1736 as the first pastor at the St. John's Church in Göttingen , where he also held a professorship for theology. In 1759 he became the first pastor at the Neustädter Hof- und Stadtkirche St. Johannis in Hanover and at the same time a member of the consistory . From 1762 to 1774 he was also general superintendent of Hoya-Diepholz.
