Georg Kliesch

Georg Kliesch (born July 9, 1896 in Landeshut in Silesia ; † February 12, 1959 in Aachen ) was a German theologian and politician ( DNVP , CSVD ).

Life

Kliesch was born the son of a head bell ringer. After graduating from the Realgymnasium in Landeshut, he first attended the Bethel Theological University and then studied Protestant theology at the universities in Breslau and Halle . He was ordained on July 8, 1921, worked as a parish pastor in Konradswaldau from 1922, and from April 1, 1927 was the pastor head of the city mission in Breslau , where he also headed a church youth association. On December 1, 1928, he took over a pastorate in Nieder Rosen .

In May 1928 Kliesch was elected to the Prussian state parliament as a member of the German National People's Party (DNVP) . He left the DNVP a year later, was a non-attached MP from December 4, 1929, and joined the Christian Social People's Service (CSVD) on January 22, 1930. He was a member of the state parliament until the end of the 1932 electoral term. In parliament he represented constituency 7 (Breslau).

Kliesch was a pastor in Ohlau from April 1, 1932 and had been a leader among the German Christians since 1933 . After the Second World War he moved to West Germany as a displaced person and settled in Aachen.

Georg Kliesch had been married to Erika von Kulmiz (1893–1958) since February 12, 1924 and had two sons.
