Georg Lindner (ski racer)

Georg Lindner (born January 20, 1983 in St. Johann in Tirol , Austria ) is a former ski racer who competed for the Republic of Moldova .

life and career

Lindner comes from Oberndorf in Tyrol and has both Austrian and, since August 2009, Moldovan citizenship .

While trying to qualify for the 2010 Winter Olympics, he sustained a serious knee injury in the first race in Davos . In 2012 he injured his knee again badly in Caspoggio . In 2011 and 2013 Georg Lindner took part in the Alpine World Ski Championships for the Moldovan national ski team. He competed in the Super-G at the 2014 Winter Olympics , making his sporting dream come true. In January 2015 he ended his sporting career due to injury.
