DJ happy vibes
Andreas Hofmann (born January 28, 1966 in Dresden ) is a German musician, music producer and presenter who appears as a disc jockey under his stage name DJ Happy Vibes (from English Happy Vibration , happy vibrations). Happy Vibes is a registered trademark. Hofmann has his studio in Kesselsdorf near Dresden and produces content for radio and TV.
Career
Hofmann started in 1987, after completing a course for record entertainers in the GDR and a state classification, in the Dresdner Volkshaus Laubegast as a DJ in the GDR. With his western-themed funk and soul show program, he met the zeitgeist of the youth. Within a year, he achieved the highest amateur rating as well as the professional rating. He graduated from the Kulturakademie Dresden with a distinction, finished the central support class “discotheques” in Leipzig prematurely and received the FDJ special prize for outstanding folk art collective . From 1988 he was also on the road in socialist countries with his mobile discotheque “Action Service”.
After the reunification , DJ Happy Vibes worked from 1992 to 1998 for MDR television as a presenter for the youth programs “Top 6 - Eurotops”, “Stage fright” and “Szene”. In 1993 he founded his company Happy Vibes Medienproduktion with the music labels "Aroma Records", "Happy Vibes Records" and "Happy Vibration Musikverlag". From 1994 to 1996 he was resident DJ at the Megadrome in Radebeul. From 1997 to 2016 he moderated and produced the Saxony-wide radio show "Maxi-Mal" every Saturday on the local radio chain of the RTL Group with a reach of half a million listeners.
In 2003 he released his first album "Jolly", in 2005 his second album, "Orange", with the singer Jazzmin. He signed Jazzmin and has toured as DJ Happy Vibes feat. Jazzmin through Europe. Your stage shows are characterized by optical effects, shows and costumes. In December 2007 he released the third album "Ghostwhispers" with Jazzmin. In 2008 the tracks "Ostrock Megamix XXL" and "Ostrock Schmusehitmix XXL" were produced for the record company Sony BMG . As DJ Happy Vibes feat. Jazzmin released the fourth album "Retro Vibration" on July 17, 2009. In December 2010 the first German album "Aroma Therapy" was released.
Also in 2010 the song "German History" was released, which tells the epochs of German history from the German Empire to 2010 with original audio documents. Since excerpts from the Horst Wessel song were also included, the title was sometimes viewed critically, but in 2012 it received the “Sound Award” of the European Society for Music (EGFM) in the “Dance National” category.
In December 2012 the album "Viva la Vita" followed, in March 2016 the album "Nachtschatten". On September 30, 2016 the single and the video "German History II" were released. It was shown in mid-October 2016 to celebrate the two-year anniversary of the xenophobic alliance Pegida on Theaterplatz in Dresden.
The album "Phönix" followed on July 20, 2018, and the "Saxon Anthem" on August 2, 2019.
Happy Vibes also released various CD compilations and produced various artists in his own studio, including a. Fresh Fox, Engel B., DJ Attila and Jacqueline .
On July 17, 2017, DJ Happy Vibes started his new TV show on the Saxony-wide TV channel MyTVplus. This series is broadcast every Monday from 8:15 p.m. and is a mixture of talk, music and live video callers. The show is broadcast simultaneously on the cable and on Facebook .

In 1997 Andreas Hofmann took over the production and moderation of the Saxon party radio show Maxi-Mal on the radio station Radio Dresden . The program was also broadcast on the other stations of the Sachsen-Funkpaket every Saturday evening from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
On October 20, 2016, Radio Dresden announced that the program would be canceled after almost 20 years. Declining audience numbers were given as the reason for leaving the show, but this was refuted by the radio analysis of the Working Group Media Analysis (agma) MA 2017/1. Instead, the Sachsen-Funkpaket broadcast a 90s show at this point from now on. Hofmann had previously caused outrage on social media several times and, according to his own information, struggled with financial problems after his show was canceled. Shortly after the dismissal was announced, an online petition called for the withdrawal to be withdrawn.

On October 26, 2018, Hofmann spoke at a rally of the right-wing populist citizens' movement Pro Chemnitz in the aftermath of the riots in Chemnitz in 2018 .
Hofmann has been chairman of the board of directors of the Free Voters in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district since 2018 . For the state elections in Saxony in 2019 , he ran in his home constituency ( Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains 1 ) as a direct candidate of the free voters and was able to unite 8.1% of the direct votes.
