Georg Ludwig Eckhardt

Georg Ludwig Eckhardt (born January 5, 1770 in Hamburg ; † June 4, 1794 ibid) was a German painter and art writer.
Life
Born as the son of the art dealer Johann Jacob Eckhardt, he received his first painting lessons from his father. He met many Hamburg artists who visited his father. In his short life he mainly created portraits and some landscapes. He wrote the "Hamburgische Künstler Nachrichten" (Hamburg Artists' News), which appeared anonymously in the year he died.
He died at the age of 24.
