Georg Ludwig Ulex
Georg Ludwig Ulex (born October 8, 1811 in Neuhaus an der Oste , † March 25, 1883 in Altona ) was a German chemist and politician.
biography
Ulex had been a pharmacist in Hamburg since 1838, where he taught physics and chemistry at the pharmaceutical school and since 1856 a sworn commercial chemist .
Is named after him, the mineral Ulexit - Boronatrocalcit. He named struvite - ammonium magnesium phosphate (after Heinrich Christoph Gottfried von Struve ).
Ulex was a member of the Hamburg Constituent Assembly . From 1859 to 1860 and from 1862 to 1874 he was a member of the Hamburg citizenship .
