In 1674, Münch was called to Hanover, where he succeeded Magister Johann Justus Matthiae and took the post of pastor at the Aegidien Church on August 5, 1674 as the 21st preacher after the Reformation in Hanover . Before that he had given a printed farewell sermon in Aerzen.

His printed funeral sermons include those for the Abbot of Loccum Johann Kotzebue and in 1881 for Elisabeth Wedekind, widow of Melchior Wilkens.

Georg Münch was buried directly at the altar in the Aegidienkirche in 1678. A portrait of him was placed in the choir by the altar with a Latin inscription as a short biography. Münch's successor as preacher in St. Aegidien was Conrad Christoph Heinemann .
