Georg Papai
Georg Papai (born October 10, 1973 ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and since 2014 district chairman of the 21st Viennese district of Floridsdorf .
Life
After Papai had completed his apprenticeship as an electrical engineer in 1994, he was elected chairman of the Socialist Youth in Vienna. After completing his military service in Wiener Neustadt and his activity at the Vienna Workers 'Gymnastics Association, he switched to the private employees ' union in 2000 as regional secretary . In 2006 he became an employee in the organization department of the SPÖ Vienna , whose management he took over in 2008.
On March 19, 2014, Papai took over the office of district chairman from his predecessor Heinz Lehner . In May 2018 he was elected to succeed Michael Ludwig as chairman of the SPÖ Floridsdorf.
