Georg Richter (architect)

Georg Richter (born July 22, 1859 in Nuremberg ; † December 28, 1931 there ) was a German architect , according to whose plans various buildings were built in Nuremberg at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.

style

Richter built both in the forms of historicism and neo-Gothic using baroque elements as well as art nouveau . His work identifies him as a representative of the Nuremberg style .

Buildings in Nuremberg

  • 1890/1891: Hotel Maximilian, Lorenzerstraße 31, at the Marientor, which was laid down in 1890 .
  • 1893/1896: Hotel Roter Hahn, Königstraße 44/46 (destroyed in World War II).
  • 1904: Villa Virchowstrasse 34.
  • 1912: Factory of the United Margarine-Werke Nürnberg (Resi-Margarinewerke), Klingenhofstrasse 52 ff.
