Georg Siimenson (born April 14, 1912 in Tallinn , † June 12, 1978 there ) was an Estonian football player .

Career

Siimenson was born in Tallinn in 1912 and played for the Estonian capital club SK Tallinna Sport during his playing days . With the club, the center forward was able to win the championship title in 1932 and 1933 and the Estonian Cup in 1938 . With the Estonian national team Siimenson took part in the qualification for the World Cup in 1934 , as well as in the qualification for the 3rd World Cup in 1938 . In the three games (1938), the attacker scored two goals, one of them in the last qualifying game in Königsberg against the German selection , when he scored the 1-0 break.

At the Baltic Cup , Siimenson reached the final with Estonia in 1936 and 1937 and was able to win the Baltic title in the third attempt in 1938 .

For Estonia Siimenson came to a total of 42 appearances, in which he scored 14 goals.
