Georg Wilhelm Reye (born February 18, 1813 in Otterndorf , † June 6, 1885 in Hamburg ) was a German businessman .

Life

Reye initially worked as a broker for grain in the Hamburg suburb of St. Georg . He had an office in the Hamburg stock exchange . Later he ran trading business under the company GW Reye & Sons. From 1859 to 1880 Reye was a member of the Hamburg citizenship as a member.

Georg Wilhelm Reye was buried in the Bonne / Reye family graveyard, Ohlsdorf cemetery , grid square V 22, 45-61 (east of chapel 2 on Nebenallee ).
