August Hagen (judge)

Karl Friedrich August Hagen (born January 18, 1834 in Neuruppin ; † 1910 ) was a German judge and parliamentarian.

Life

August Hagen studied law at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin and the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1853 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Berlin . After completing his studies, he pursued a career as a judge. From 1867 to 1877 he was conductor of the court deputation in Altlandsberg . In 1879 he was appointed Regional Court Director of the Berlin Regional Court. In 1897 he was appointed President of the Naumburg Higher Regional Court, where he was in office until 1907.

From 1879 to 1882 Hagen was a member of the constituency of Potsdam 4 (Oberbarnim, Niederbarnim) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party .
