George Holland Sabine
George Holland Sabine (* 1880 ; † January 18, 1961 ) was Professor of Philosophy at Cornell University in the American state of New York .
Sabine rose to the position of vice president of the university and was at times dean of Cornell's faculty of philosophy. Its scientific importance lies in his main work "History of political Theory" from 1937. It is the first overview of the history of political ideas . In doing so, Sabine has decisively influenced political theory and philosophy , a sub-discipline of political science .
