George Mary Searle
George Mary Searle (born June 27, 1839 in London , † June 27, 1918 ) was an American astronomer and clergyman .
In 1858 he discovered the asteroid (55) Pandora . In addition, he discovered six galaxies . In 1862 he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences . At an advanced age he joined the Catholic Order of the Paulists and taught at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC
