George of Livonius

George Friedrich Christian Livonius , von Livonius since 1860 (born February 13, 1792 in Wüsten-Buchholz , † January 27, 1867 in Dürkheim ) was a German manor owner and member of parliament.

origin

George Livonius was a son of the royal Prussian governor Daniel Georg Livonius and his wife Margarete, née Zenner.

Life

George Livonius was a royal Prussian councilor and, as a farmer, managed his estates in Scherbitz, Skeuditz, Seegenfelde, Kr. Deutsch-Krone, Idashof, Franzenshof, Fernheide and Hansfelde, Kr. Schlochau. Around 1850 he and his family built Hammerstein Castle (today Czarne in Polish ) on the site of the former Ordensburg in the Schlochau district (today Powiat Człuchowski in Polish ).

Livonius sat from 1849 to 1853 as a member of the constituency of Konitz, Deutsch-Krone, Flatow, Schlochau and Schwetz in the Prussian mansion . George Livonius was raised to the hereditary Prussian nobility on March 10, 1860.

Livonius was married to Wilhelmine Bethe (* May 20, 1781 in Dramburg, † May 11, 1840 in Behle ). The marriage had ten children, including:

  • Sophie Margarete von Livonius (born October 5, 1819 in Treptow (Polish: Trzebiatów ); † ...) married Johann Matthias Gierse on September 4, 1841
  • George Robert von Livonius (born April 7, 1822 in Treptow Trzebiatów , † May 31, 1902 in Hirschberg) married Agnes von Randow on December 14, 1849
