Georgie Pace
Georgie Pace (* 2. February 1915 in Ohio , † July 1984 ) was an American boxer in the bantamweight . He was managed by both Jim White and Tom Stanley .
Professional career
In 1934 he started his career successfully. On October 29, 1939, Pace was named world champion by the NBA without a fight after Sixto Escobar had renounced him. Pace defended the title in March of the following year with a 15-round tie against Louis Salica and lost it on September 24 of the same year in a rematch by a unanimous judge's decision.
In 1943 he ended his career with a competition record of 32 wins (14 of them by knockout), 11 defeats (2) and 2 draws. During World War II, Pace served in the US Army.
