Georgios Moraitinis ( Greek Γεώργιος Μωραϊτίνης , * 1892 in Egypt ; † unknown) was a Greek marksman .

Career

Georgios Moraitinis took part in the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 and in Paris in 1924 in three disciplines. With the free rifle he finished 13th in the team competition of the three-position battle in 1920, while he just missed a medal win with the team in the competition with the free pistol in fourth. In the team competition with the army revolver over 30 m, he took second place with the Greek team, which also included Alexandros Vrasivanopoulos , Alexandros Theofilakis , Ioannis Theofilakis and Iason Sappas , behind the US and ahead of the Swiss team. Moraitinis was with 258 points next to Sappas the second best shooter of the team. Four years later he did not get over the 38th place with the rapid fire pistol and 58th place with the small bore rifle in the prone position. In the team competition with the free rifle over three distances, he finished twelfth.
