Georgios Ioannis Remoundos ( Greek Γεώργιος Ρεμούνδος , also Georges Rémoundos ; born March 3, 1878 in Athens ; † April 27, 1928 ) was a Greek mathematician .

Remoundos first studied at the University of Athens and then received a scholarship with which he continued his studies in Paris. After his return to Greece he was first a lecturer and then a professor at the University of Athens. From 1918 he was a professor at the National Technical University of Athens . From the founding year 1926 he was a member of the Academy of Athens . From 1925 to 1927 he was President of the Greek Mathematical Society. Since 1919 he was co-editor of the journal of this society (Bulletin of the Greek Mathematical Society).

The main field of work of Remoundos was the function theory . In particular, he worked on algebroic functions, such as the extension of Picard's theorem and related theorems to include such functions. But he also dealt with other topics, such as differential equations.

Remoundos gave lectures at the International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) in Rome in 1908 , in Cambridge in 1912 and in Strasbourg in 1920 .
