The spotted day-like ( Hemerobius micans ) is a reticulated winged winged wing of the day-like family (Hemerobiidae).
features
The yellow-colored tag-like reach a length of about 10 mm. Their wing veins have dark, line-shaped sections - in contrast to similar reticulated winged wings, whose veins are only dotted.
Occurrence
The species is widespread in Central and Northern Europe. It is represented in the British Isles and in Fennos Scandinavia . In the south it is distributed as far as Italy and the Balkans . In contrast, it is absent on the Iberian Peninsula.
Way of life
The diurnal insects fly in the summer months. The diurnal prefer deciduous forests, especially older oak stands, as a habitat. They are found in many plants, including several hawthorn species to smoke tree ( Cotinus coggygria ) to manna ash ( Fraxinus ornus ), on European hop hornbeam ( Ostrya carpinifolia ) to downy oak ( Quercus pubescens ) and on holm oak ( Quercus ilex ).
Adults as well as nymphs predatorily live on aphids such as the spruce tube louse ( Elatobium abietinum ) and on mites .
