Geräum is a district of the municipality Weiherhammer in the Upper Palatinate district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab ( Bavaria ).
Geographical location
Geräum is located about four kilometers northeast of Weiherhammer am Heilinglohbach, which rises two kilometers further northeast on the northern slope of the 501 meter high Seebühl and two kilometers further southwest at Weiherhammer flows into the Haidenaab .
history
In 1816 the Freiherr von Junker local court was formed with its seat in Neunkirchen, which included Rupprechtsreuth, Trippach and Untermantel as well as the wasteland Geräum. Geräum belonged to Weiherhammer in 1817 and was inhabited by a skinner and a weaver. In 1817 Geräum had 2 houses and 10 inhabitants, in 1861 it had 11 inhabitants.
On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Geräum belonged to the parish of Neunkirchen near Weiden and had a house and 15 residents. On December 31, 1990, Geräum had 2 residents and belonged to the parish of Neunkirchen near Weiden.
