history

Around 1500, the Pachstall mill, mentioned in 1344, was torn away by a flood. The Neumühle was built in its place. Together with Thannsüß and Schickenhof, it belonged to the Kaltenbrunn court, which was established at the beginning of the 15th century. The court was directly subordinate to the district judge von Parkstein and had 12 jurors. It received legal instruction first from the court in Kohlberg, later from the city of Weiden. In 1588 the Neumühle was listed with the responsible miller Georg Pramb. In 1759 it had 8 male residents and in 1792 three houses. Around 1800 and 1817, the Neumühle with 4 houses and 25 residents was mentioned as belonging to the chamber goods of the Kaltenbrunn market. Neumühle was incorporated into Weiherhammer as part of Dürnast in 1972.
