Gerard Alfons Kusz (born October 23, 1939 in Oderwalde ) is a Polish clergyman and auxiliary bishop emeritus in Gliwice .

Life

The Bishop of Opole , Franciszek Jop , ordained him a priest on June 24, 1962 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Opole and titular bishop of Tagarbala on July 8, 1985 . The Archbishop of Warsaw and Gniezno , Józef Cardinal Glemp , donated him the episcopal ordination on August 15th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Henryk Roman Cardinal Gulbinowicz , Archbishop of Breslau , and Alfons Nossol , Bishop of Opole.

On March 25, 1992, he was appointed auxiliary bishop in Gliwice .

On November 15, 2014, Pope Francis accepted his resignation due to reasons of age.
