Gerard Francisco Timoner OP (born January 26, 1968 in Daet , Camarines Norte Province ) is a Filipino Roman Catholic priest and has been Master of the Dominican Order since 2019 .

Gerard Francisco Timoner graduated in Philosophy from the Philippine Dominican Center for International Studies in 1991 and in Theology from the Pontifical and Royal University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Manila in 1994 . In 1985 he joined the Dominican Order and made his profession in 1989. In 1995 he was ordained a priest. He completed a degree in intercultural theology at the Radboud University in Nijmegen . He was a professor of theology at the University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Manila and its vice chancellor. He was Provincial of the Dominican Province in the Philippines and partner of the Master of the Order for Asia / Pacific. In 2014 he was appointed by Pope Francis as a member of the International Theological Commission.

On July 13, 2019, he was elected the 87th successor of St. Dominic at the General Chapter of the Order of Preachers in Biên Hòa , Vietnam . After nine years in office, he replaces Bruno Cadoré as master of the Dominican Order.
