Gerd Flajs

Gerd Flajs (1995)

Gerd Flajs (born January 7, 1942 in Leoben ) is an Austrian paleontologist .

Flajs studied at the University of Graz , where he received his PhD in 1966. phil. received his doctorate. From 1963 to 1966 he was employed as a research assistant at the chair for paleontology and historical geology at the University of Graz. In 1966 he became a university assistant at the Paleontological Institute of the University of Bonn . He later taught as a professor at the Chair of Geology and Paleontology at RWTH Aachen University .

Among other things, Flajs researches conodonts and the microstructure of hard parts.
