Gerd Reutter

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gerd Reutter (* 1931 in Rastatt ) is a Mannheim artist. He has lived in Mannheim since 1953 after an odyssey through Germany, Switzerland and France. At that time, as a painter, he painted the wooden structure on the onion domes of the Jesuit church weatherproof. In 1989 he founded the Kulturverein Industrietempel eV with friends and family members , to which he still belongs today. Only after many years of working as an independent grocer did he begin to work artistically and to model in clay when he retired . In 2003 the Karlsruhe Regional Council bought its sculpture "Open End".

Gerd Reutter is the father of the television journalist Thomas Reutter .
